You are probably not used to hearing from me on the weekend, but I thought I would let you know I have started a new monthly newsletter to capture some of the great links I find on Twitter.
Think of this as my version of the Saturday paper, except you know – not as regular 
The monthly Thesis Whisperer newsletter has sections on writing, academic culture, research, productivity hacks and books. Here’s a link to the newsletter home page, with my November and October editions. I hope to have an email server up soon so you can subscribe if you are interested in getting them by email.

Such a good idea Inge – weekends are often a great catch up on readings/blogs time for me! I wondered what you could suggest in terms of producing ‘schmick’ diagrams and tables in your thesis? Could this be a feature for the future? My IT skills are fine – but want them looking a bit spec … have a PC too:-(

Why not use MailChimp for your newsletter subscription to notify us via email. You can get a lot of subscribers for free, they have a wordpress plugin and offer great support. We use them for our business.
